The first of the projects was to harden the worn tread of the popular trail at Virgin Creek Falls. The team spread a truckload of gravel along a section of trail about 300 feet in length and four feet wide. The team also built rock retaining structures along the trail to help mitigate erosion.
At Winner Creek Trail, the team made improvements to sections of the boardwalk, stretching bits of old fishing net over the slick wood and spiking them into place to create traction.
