Alaska Department of Natural Resources installed new signage for anglers, rafters, and highway travelers looking for a scenic stop to enjoy. One is a panel that orients the public to the site, its amenities, and the Greater Upper Kenai River (aka Sqilantu) area. The second is an interpretive panel that focuses primarily on the cultural history of the Kenai Peninsula. Also known as Yaghanen (meaning The Good Land), the sign introduces native language elements of the Outer Cook Inlet Dena’ina.
